Environmental Claims and Packaging

Environmental claims should tell you something specific about a formula, ingredient or packaging component. A broad label alone does not explain the impact of a skincare product.

Evidence comes first

Natural origin, organic certification, recycled content and recyclability are different claims. We describe them at product or component level where documentation supports them. Supplier certification does not automatically certify the entire Maktafa range.

What to check

Look for the scope of a claim, the product it applies to and any relevant certification. We do not assume that natural ingredients are safer or that every component is plastic-free, carbon neutral or recyclable everywhere.

Disposal

Local collection rules vary. Bottles, labels, closures, pumps and mixed materials may require separate handling. Follow the packaging information and your local recycling guidance rather than assuming a complete container is accepted.
