Batch Codes and Traceability

A batch code identifies a production batch. It helps the relevant manufacturer or responsible entity investigate a product question or safety concern.

Find the code

Look on the container, label, base or carton. The location varies. If it is difficult to read, send us a clear photograph rather than guessing the characters.

Batch code and shelf life

A batch code is not necessarily an expiry date. Follow any minimum durability date and period-after-opening symbol on the label. An open-jar symbol such as 12M refers to the indicated months after first opening under the stated storage conditions.

Keep useful information

Retain your order confirmation and label details. For a concern, email support@maktafa.com with the product name, batch code, order number and description. Do not continue using a product that seems contaminated or unsafe while waiting for advice.
