What the Sizes in Your Skincare Set Mean

A skincare set can look beautifully complete while leaving an important question unanswered: how much of each product are you buying?

At Maktafa, every ritual page lists the individual products and their volumes. Read those figures alongside the textures and directions. That is more useful than judging a set by the size of its outer box.

Three products can mean different volumes

A set containing a large cleanser, a face cream and a treatment oil serves a different purpose from a set containing three concentrated treatments. The same number of bottles does not make the two routines interchangeable.

For example, a 15 ml face cream contains less product than a 50 ml face cream. Its smaller size may suit trying the texture or keeping a compact routine, but it should not be described as the same supply.

Look at each bottle, not only the total

A total volume adds the contents of the set together. It does not mean that the products should be used in equal amounts or will run out together. A cleanser, eye cream and facial oil have different directions and different roles.

Check the volume of the product you expect to use most often. Then consider whether the other products add something useful to your existing care.

Why we do not promise a fixed number of uses

How long a bottle lasts depends on the stated directions, the amount you use, the area of application and frequency. Packaging appearance alone cannot establish a reliable number of days or uses.

Use the amount directed on the product. Applying extra to finish all three bottles together is not the aim of a ritual.

What to check before ordering

  • The exact product names and sizes.
  • Whether the set includes cleansing, moisturising or treatments only.
  • The texture you prefer and any ingredients you avoid.
  • The directions and whether a product is for daily use or selected evenings.
  • The price and delivery charge shown before you pay.

Our ritual comparison guide brings the product roles and sizes together. Choose the combination you will use, with a clear understanding of what is in the box.
